Dr. Ayumi Shintani is a professor, Department of Medical Statistics, Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka Metropolitan University (OMU), Osaka, Japan and Director of Clinical Research Area, Center for Clinical Research and Innovation, Osaka Metropolitan University Medical Center. She received her Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Graduate School, Yale University in May 2000. Prior to joining the faculty at OMU, she was a chair at the Endowed Department of Clinical Statistics and Epidemiology, Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University. Dr. Shintani currently serves as a member for National Sciences Council, Including, Cost Effectiveness Analysis Evaluation, Clinical Trial Act, Patient Request Recuperation. She is also the recipient of the 2004-2005 Vanderbilt Master of Science Clinical Investigation Program teaching award; and she is an author of 4 of the top-selling books of biostatistics. She is the author of four best-selling books on biostatistics in Japan Amazon. She also has over 200 biostatistics videos on Youtube and has over 10,000 followers worldwide.
